I’m definitely struggling to find some down-time recently. It’s to be expected given all the change. It’s bound to be a bit chaotic when you start up your own business. Thankfully everything is going really well in that department so I definitely won’t be complaining but there is a distinct lack of calm for sure. Aside from Slimming World I also work for Channel Mum making Youtube Videos, write content for Family Friendly HQ & have my column in Easy Parenting Magazine. Those are all my priorities and usually there is a couple of adhoc bits and bobs in the midst of it all too. I might be lucky enough to work with a brand on a campaign and of course I have my lovely blog right here which is where it all began. When you work for yourself it can be a little bit tricky to justify time away from work. There are a million benefits to working from home but the guilt of not working is one of the down-sides.

One of the ways I do like to relax is television. It takes a lot for me to put my phone down and stay off social media (sad, I know, but I am being truthful) so it’s completely refreshing to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a TV show. It’s escapism at it’s very best. I suppose you are watching someone else’s triumphs and troubles rather than focusing on your own.

As some of you know I am a member of the Netflix Stream Team in Ireland. That basically means that I have a free subscription to the network and I like to keep you all informed on what’s new and what we are enjoying. I am absolutely determined to make May and June run a little smoother in general. I want to be more organized and make it a priority to relax as much as possible in the evenings. Even if it’s just one or two nights a week.
These are the two shows that I think I will enjoy the most. I am actually really excited about having something to look forward to in the evenings.

Gypsy

OK so this won’t be released until June 30th but I am really excited about it. It’s not something I would typically go for but having watched ther trailor I’ve been looking forward to this one. It’s a psychological thriller staring Naomi Watts and it looks absolutely brilliant. Watt’s character is a Manhattan based therapist who developes illicit relationships with her patients in their own homes. Some of the series was directed by the same director of Fifty Shades Of Grey which makes this even more appealing to me. Really looking forward to it.

Girlboss

Based on Sophia Amoruso’s story this is set to be a cracker. I love the story behind Amoruso. I haven’t read her book but I have heard a lot of people speak very highly of it. She is the perfect example of a woman who created an empire based on a pretty simple concept. Selling vintage clothes on Ebay turned in to a multi billion dollar empire. The 13 episodes launched in April but I am yet to delve in. It’s directed by the same director behind Pitch Perfect and I think I’m going to love it.
